Brake Noise Solution

A large number of brake noise complaints are metal-on-metal or squeak-related to the brake pad. A common problem in automobile, the worn pads contacting the rotor causes the grinding noise.

Easier to prevent than to fix is brake squeaking which occurs after servicing. The location of the brakes are in a hostile environment with lots of rust and corrosion.

Disc Brakes.

The rotor (disc) is a one-piece casting with cooling fins between the two braking surfaces. This enables air to circulate between the braking surfaces making them less sensitive to heat buildup and more resistant to fade. Dirt and water do not affect braking action since contaminants are thrown off by the centrifugal action of the rotor (disc) or scrapped off by the pads.
